I recently had a request from Frazer researcher Joanna. She has been in touch with a person who thinks his branch of Frasers from Sligo may related to ours. Joanna wants me to look at the DNA matches to see if this may be true.<\/p>\n

A YDNA Match<\/h2>\n

This person has taken a YDNA test and according to Joanna he tested as R-R152. Joanna could not find this group and thinks he may have meant R-U152 which sounds like a Haplogroup I have heard of.<\/p>\n

I do not know if Ian is on this web page, but I see 6 mentions of R-U152 on that page:<\/p>\n

I went through all 6 mentions of R-U152, but none of them had the Fraser\/Frazer surname. That could mean that the Haplogroup is wrong or that Ian is not part of the Fraser and Septs Project.<\/p>\n

This is a fairly small group under R1a1. I count 10 Frazers in this group. However, a good percentage have taken the BigY test. The header for the group says there are 2393 members, but I only see 1634 Lines of data and many do not have the Frazer surname. For example:<\/p>\n
